I t is a colour that can create relaxed ambiences and warmth when used with some guidelines and it allows us to get to a wide variety of compositions and styles when used with other colours. We can use this colour on fabrics, furniture, accessories or textiles complements, either in the same tone or with different textures that will enhance the decoration.

Normally, when decorating a room, a colour will dominate and we will build other combinations and bring our personal touch to get to the end result. The chosen colour tends to be our favourite one or one that captures our attention. When decorating a beach house or one that is overlooking the sea, there is a common link with the blue colour. Those homes have their own personality and they show us the guidelines to follow. They are usually forgotten when it comes to adapting to the season change, but they are more and more used, not only for the long holidays but also to live all year long. So that they remain attractive, we must convert them in warm and cosy homes when the colder months arrive. We don't have to give up on the blue colour that is associated with them. We will substitute the light and marine-themed fabrics for others such as cushions of thick fabric with geometric and ethnic patterns. Stripes, for example, can be substituted by other wider ones on blankets, rugs, bed linen, etc. Finally, this is a season that invites us to enjoy and look after our interiors, searching for the perfect style to feel cosy and happy.
