The four schools on the island of the Game of the Palo organised an exhibition during Feaga

The four schools on the island of the Palo Canario game gathered during the Feaga Fair of Fuerteventura in order to participate in the XVIII Island Encounter of the Palo Canario Game. The schools of Puerto Cabras, Dunas de Corralejo, Huriamen de Villaverde and Sorinque de Gran Tarajal demonstrated the Palo Canario game for the public. The activity is part of the programme of preservation and promotion of traditional sports and games of the Canaries of the Cabildo called “No Olvides lo Nuestro” (Don't forget what is ours). This initiative is organised in order to preserve and promote those traditional activities all over the island, through school campaigns, workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions and by collaborating with the ayuntamientos, associations, clubs and delegations of those sports. The Pelotamano game was also presented within this programme with the IV Encounter of the Pelotamano of Fuerteventura.
