The park located on Avenida Paco Hierro in Gran Tarajal has been contaminated with the Tran Tran magic through a refurbishment plan initiated by the Tourism Council of Tuineje's Ayuntamiento and Fuerteventura's Cabildo. The project has helped embellish this area on the theme of the Tran Tran International Clown Festival, one of the most important cultural events of the island. The square of Avenida Paco Hierro was called Plaza Azul or Del Parque until last June. At the beginning of that month, it was baptised again as Tran Tran, as a tribute to the clown festival that is hosted by Gran Tarajal every year. Now, the Ayuntamiento of Tuineje has initiated some refurbishments in order to give a Tran Tran identity to the square. Do to so, a sculpture of Chanita will be installed, the clown created by the Catalan illustrator Miquel Rabert Robert that has now become the image of the Tran Tran Festival. Furthermore, the square will be filled with colours with the decoration of benches and streetlights following the Tran Tran theme. Amongst the initiatives, each bench is being painted with the face and name of comedians in red with white dots.
