The Ayuntamiento has invested in its mobile park to increase it to nine vehicles with the addition of a Fiat Doblo that has a loading and passenger transport capacity. With this new vehicle, the number of new vehicles increases to nine that improve the municipal mobile park. Those vehicles have been dispatched according to the necessities of the different councils, with one for each of the following councils: Sports, Culture, Events, Social Services and Tourism and four for Projects and Services. In addition to those nine vehicles, there are five vehicles for the Local Police that have been in use since the beginning of last year.
“I will keep on painting as long as I have a pulse”, says Doña María del Carmen Echeverría Bonastre with a little voice and with humility while being presented with her 2018 Island Handcraft Award. She is a fabric decorator and was quite emotional when she spoke about this award that was an unexpected honour.
The population of Triquivijate inaugurated their new picnic area built by the Ayuntamiento with a popular barbecue during the local celebrations. Triquivijate's new picnic area consists of various barbecues, two pergolas that provide shade, a sink and lighting for the nighttime barbecues.
The sports' councillor, Fernando Estupiñán, representing Antigua's Ayuntamiento, congratulated the team that consists of Javier Fránquiz and José Batista, champions of the V Slalom of Antigua that took place in May at the Circuit of Los Alares, as well as José Luis Fragiel who won the Car Cross.
